The
GodMan Fast Facts
1. What is the connection between The GodMan and
the Book of Hope?
The Book of Hope is now being brought to life in a powerful
animated version called The GodMan. Created by Hollywood
professionals and in consultation with Wycliffe Bible Translators,
the film is designed to lead children to make a decision
for Jesus. The GodMan will encourage readership of the printed
Book of Hope as children get excited by what they see in
the film and want to dig deeper into God’s Word.
2. What is The GodMan?
The GodMan tells the story of Jesus Christ using the latest
in computer-
generated animation technology. It features a contemporary
Christian
music score, and live action “wraps.” These
“wraps” place the animated story of Christ into
a present-day context, in a relevant cultural setting, using
real actors.
3. Why was The GodMan developed?
The GodMan presents the Gospel to four groups of children
and young people that the printed Book of Hope cannot reach:
illiterates, aliterates (children and young people who choose
not to read), pre-literates (children too young to read)
and those in countries with limited access to God’s
word.
4. What languages is it in?
In addition to the Multi-Cultural version, The GodMan is
being produced in seven additional versions for international
use. They are Latin American, Asian, Slavic, Indian, African,
Arab, and Peninsular Asian. These versions will feature
different live action scenes to place the story of Christ
in a cultural context and will come complete with their
own musical scores and actors. Each version will be dubbed
in multiple languages. Creating these new language dubs
is an ongoing process. Please contact us for an up-to-date
list of languages currently available.
