UCB and OneHope have teamed up with Saltmine Theatre Company to produce a fantastic addition to the Book of Hope resources! The “OneHope” Play, first toured in February 2011, running until July, and during this period it was performed to 110 primary schools throughout the UK, as well as 15 schools in Lebanon! Within the UK alone, the play has so far been seen by over 27,000 children, and each child seeing the play is offered a unique customised Book of Hope! (The “Saltmine Edition” Books of Hope are only available with the “OneHope” Play, and cannot be ordered separately). So far, the play has received great feedback from teachers: “lively, engaging and thoroughly enjoyed by the pupils”, “The team provided an energetic atmosphere and within a story setting were able to provide a clear picture of the Christian belief and the importance of Jesus and God in their lives, and all children were able to access this understanding and later discuss it with their teachers” and children: “That was cool!” [year 1], “They were really funny – I liked them” [year 2], “It was exciting to watch. I liked the way they were all full of energy and made me laugh. I found out that there was a gap between people and God and Jesus filled the gap.” [year 6].
Now the play returns for another season! One Hope will tour from 6th- 22nd June 2012 and 24th September – 19th October 2012.
